Was with 16th Enfield in the 70's, haven't found a website for them yet though. Good site. On a personal note I think you will find I was one of the bass drummers in Star Band 90 at the Royal Albert Hall.

Just browsing & came across your web-site, very interesting and a great detailed history of the 70's. Two events were of significance to me, as an ex-member of the 5th Halifax, we attended the 1976 London District Display as Guest Item and also, if my memory serves me correctly, we attended your "It's A Knockout" event in 1977.We travelled to London to take part in three events around the London District on the Saturday afternoon, culminating in marching down Whitehall and performing in Trafalgar Square on the Saturday evening, great days never to be forgotten! The 5th Halifax Co is still going, but not as strong as it was 30 years ago. Ironically we have quite a strong Old Boys Association, which was formed in 2006 to celebrate the Company's Centenary and we re-formed the band for this occassion. We've kept the band going and now have current boys playing in it - who knows what the future may bring? Anyway, keep up the good work in London & best wishes to all.
