The start of the centennial appeal, with the aim of raising £5000 for a new Company minibus. A launch party was held at the Church hall, with 130 people in attendance. Everyone enjoyed an evening of games, food and fun. Present were the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Enfield.

The Battalion Cross Country competition is held at Alexandra Park, where the Seniors and Juniors come second in the team event. Stuart Bachelor wins the Senior race. Later Stuart Bachelor came third in the London District Cross Country held at Hampstead Heath.

The Company wins the London District Blockbuster challenges. The final was an all 3rd Enfield affair, with the winning team consisting of Mark Willis, Tim Wakeford and Stuart Bachelor.

The Junior Section takes part in a Battalion Bible Fun Day, held at Bush Hill Park URC, home of the 2nd Enfield. 75 Boys from Enfield take part in the event.

The Enfield Battalion Band competitions take place in Barnet, where the 3rd Enfield wins the Band, Bugle team and Drum team competitions. Sgt Mark Silvey and Cpl Tim Wakeford come first and second respectively in the Solo Bugler competition, and Cpl David Waite and Pte Simeon Layzell come first and second in the Solo Drummer competition.

The Enfield Battalion Two Section Drill and Colours competitions take place, with the 3rd Enfield winning the latter.

The 3rd Enfield take part in the London District Band competitions day. The Bugle team, who were defending champions, come third and the Drum team come second in their competitions. The Company band also enters the Junior Band competition playing the march Red Alert, which was composed by 3rd Enfield members Mark Willis, Martyn Stogden and Mark Pollard. The band comes second, but the judges comment on the quality of the march.

The Company takes part in the London District Squad Drill final and comes third.

The London District Two and Three Section Drill competitions take place. The 3rd Enfield comes second in the Two Section Drill competition, and Enfield Battalion comes second in the Daily Telegraph Shield competition.

The 3rd Enfield's Centenary Display is held at Chace Community School. The Chief Guest is Deputy Mayor of Enfield Henry Mardon with the Deputy Mayoress, and Brigade Secretary Sydney Jones is the Inspecting Officer. The evening is a showcase of the Company, past and present, with the evening being made up of a number of items:
- The Company band gives a display of marches, consisting of some old pieces and some new ones, including the finale piece Salute to T R P, in tribute to T R Plowman, ex-Captain of the 3rd Enfield. Ray Barnes, who also wrote the famous Swingtime, wrote this march.
- The Anchor Boys dress as clowns and distribute pieces of cake to the audience as part of their games.
- Old time Rifle Drill with Chris Sanders leading the squad as Colonel Chappie!
- The Junior Section demonstrate their achievement schemes, a regular activity on Monday nights.
- Two teams compete against each other to see who can raise a tent the quickest.
- The Junior Section perform their version of the famous Royal Tournament gun carriage race.
- An Old Boys drill down, the Old Boys show a high standard of drill from their youth, but Pte Simeon Layzell eventually wins.
- The finale is a combined band of the Boys and Old Boys. The band plays a range of marches including Swingtime. This event is organised by Andy Barnes.

Cpl Stuart Bachelor wins the London District 1500 metres race, and the Enfield Battalion comes third in the Athletics competition. The 3rd Enfield had come second in the Battalion Athletics competition.

The Gymnastics competition is held late this year, but Simeon Layzell wins all three Senior individual titles. The Company team also wins the Parallel Bars competition.

The 3rd Enfield holds a fundraising fayre, and raises £550 for the Company appeal.

The Company wins the London District 6-a-side Cricket competition.

The Company goes to the Royal Tournament at Earl's Cour, where the London District Bugle band plays a special performance. The 3rd Enfield is represented by Pte Michael Stamford. The Company is also represented in the band at the Beating Retreat event at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

The annual Brigade Council is held in Colchester, where the BB actually makes it into the news after a motion to admit Girls into membership is defeated by 718 votes to 382.

Lord Thurso, the Brigade President, attends the 3rd Enfield's Centenary Church Parade, as does Rev Geoffrey Plowman, nephew of Thomas R. Plowman, and many 3rd Enfield Old Boys. New Company Colours are presented and dedicated at the service, and are named the T R Plowman Colours.

A special parade night is held to celebrate 100 years to the day of the Company being formed. A special 100th birthday certificate is presented to the Company from the national BB, and each member of the Company, young and old, is presented with a commemorative certificate to mark the occasion.

The BBC programme Songs of Praise comes from the Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, and features the London District Boys' Brigade parade service.

The London District Bugle Band competitions take place, where the Company comes second in the Junior Band competition. The Drum team wins their competition with the team of David Waite, Simeon Layzell, Jamie Fryer and David Spence. The team was coached by Michael Over and Mark Pollard. Previously the 3rd Enfield had completed a clean sweep at the Battalion Band competitions, winning the Band, Bugle team, Drum team, Solo Drummer (David Waite) and Solo Bugler (Stuart Bachelor) competitions.

In the Battalion Gymnastics competition, the Company win the Parallel Bars team competition but lose the overall title by 0.3 points. Individual titles won by the 3rd include the Best Senior (Simeon Layzell), Senior Vaulting (Simeon Layzell), Senior Parallel Bars (Jamie Fryer), Junior Parallel Bars (Daniel Layzell) and Junior Vaulting (Paul Brewer).

75th anniversary of the Junior Section (formerly known as the Boy Reserves and Life Boys). Some of the Boys attend a party run by the Battalion. The Anchor Boys also celebrate their 10th anniversary.

Some 3rd Enfield Boys take part in a London contingent at the Duxford Air Show, putting on a display of Bugle, Brass and Pipe bands and gymnastics at both the show and the local villages.

The Company takes part in the annual Service of Thanksgiving for Sir William Alexander Smith at St. Paul's Cathedral, including bugle calls and wreath laying in the crypt and meeting the Dean.

Mr Len Street leaves Enfield for Milton Keynes after 22 years of service in the Junior Section and leading the Company First Aid for many years, including winning the London District trophy.

Former Captain of the 3rd Enfield Harold Dye passes away at the age of 91. Harold was Captain during the 1930s, and in recent times had been involved in the life of the 3rd Enfield, helping with old time drill items. He was devoted to the BB movement.

The annual Summer Camp is held within the Snowdonia National Park at Tal-y-bont, near Barmouth. The site is close to the sea. The weather is windy and showery, but all the usual activities take place: sports, wide games, swimming and outings. Every member of the camp reached the top of Snowden. Steve Wakeford provides the cooking; no-one on the camp will forget the chilli beans!

The annual Summer Camp takes place near Studland Bay on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. Twenty-eight Boys and Officers take part in a whole variety of activities throughout the week including all of the usual sports, games, swimming/beach parades and outings. The Company goes canoeing in Swanage harbour, climbing and abseiling off the cliffs at Dancing Ledge. The highlight is the aerial rope course in the forest next to the campsite. The cooking is provided by Steve Wakeford and Jeremy Waite. The 2nd Enfield used the campsite, followed by the 1st Wormley after the 3rd had finished.

Terry Silvey retires from BB work. Terry had served in both the 1st Enfield and 3rd Enfield Companies for many years. He took over the Captaincy of the 3rd Enfield from Bernard Barwick in 1978, and was Captain for 10 years. In recent years he contributed to the work of the Junior Section. His contribution to BB work was huge, and the Company excelled under his Christian leadership. Terry moved to support the efforts of the Junior Church and continued his elder work for the Church.

The Company wins the Battalion Colours competition. They also win the Battalion Squad Drill competition and go through to the final in London at the 10th London headquarters.

The London District Devonshire Cup competition takes place, in which the 3rd are runners-up. The competition is part of the London District Band competitions day, judged by Reg Moss and Sid Byford.

The annual summer camp takes place at Studland Bay in Dorset. The Boys take part in the usual activities, as well as the aerial rope course, canoeing, cliff climbing and abseiling, entire rifle shooting and archery.

The Company holds a weekend camp for Boys in the Company and Junior Sections, who take part in sailing, canoeing and dragon boat racing. A challenge race against the local Scouts sees a convincing 3-0 victory for the 3rd Enfield.

The Company wins the Battalion Swimming Shield at Southgate Swimming Pool. The Junior Boys (James Howard, David Arnold, David Tozer and Adam Arnold) perform exceptionally well and win the Junior event overall. All Boys are in a winning race, including the relay, breast stroke (James Howard) and freestyle (David Arnold). David Spence wins the senior backstroke and Jonathan Arnold wins the intermediate freestyle.

The Company takes part in the North London Cross Country race at Hillyfields. The Company Section team (Simon Fryer, David Tozer and Richard Lainchbury are third, sixth and ninth respectively) and come second overall. The Senior runners also do well, with Jonathan Arnold (third) and Robert Wyer (seventh) scoring very well.

Steve Borkett retires as an Officer after 10 years of service to the Company. Steve came to the 3rd Enfield from the 12th Enfield and served through the ranks of the Company. He took part in all the activities of the Company; he was excellent at sports. He helped the Junior Section staff and in the Company Section, he helped to run the gymnastics.

A new museum is opened dedicated to the history of the Middlesex Regiment at the Royal British Legion in Holtwhites Hill. Two 3rd Enfield Boys, Robert Wyer and Robert Mammen, form a guard of honour at the opening of the museum. Robert Wyer and Jonathan Arnold then perform the same duty during the visit of Michael Portillo MP. The event is covered on TV and the 3rd Enfield Boys could be seen.

Adrian Bullock wins the London District Solo Bugler competition, becoming the youngest 3rd Enfield Bugler to do so. Robert Mammen gains a well earned third place in the Solo Drummer competition.

Christ Church, home of the 3rd Enfield, is the venue for the bi-annual Enfield Battalion Church Parade. 3rd Enfield Officer Chris Sanders becomes Battalion President.

The death of Arthur Page. Arthur was a great supporter of the Company in recent decades. From the 90th anniversary of the Company, Arthur stepped forward to support the Company again. Arthur was a boy in the Company in the late 1920s and early 1930s, and for many years during the 1980s Arthur would help teach many first year Boys the drums at the weekly band practices at Lavender Road School. Arthur was quite a comedian and would entertain us all with his simultaneous ukulele and piano playing. In later years Arthur also helped out at the 12th Enfield Company headquarters. He often talked about his time during the War years and serving in the army, and how his BB training helped him with the adversity of the War.

A 3rd Enfield mini-trek team enters the national Waltham Walk competition, which is a two day expedition open to all youth organisations.

The national Boys' Brigade Council meeting in Dundee makes an historic decision to move to a new uniform for Company and Senior Section Boys, which consists of a royal blue polo shirt and navy blue tie, with a new black belt and navy blue armbands, thus replacing the blazers, haversacks, brown belts and black armbands. The hats and the remainder of the uniform is left unchanged, and Companies are given until the date of Brigade Council in 2006 to make the change to the new uniform. This, therefore, would spell the beginning of the end for the 3rd Enfield's famous red ties, as they would not go with the new blue uniform.
